2023 Annual Meeting Recap
It was a weekend of learning, engagement, insight, and networking, as the Virgin Islands Dental Association (VIDA) held its Annual Meeting and Continuing Education Conference this past week at the Buccaneer Hotel on the beautiful island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“The event was a wonderful opportunity for my colleagues and I to engage with one another outside of the office, collaborate and strengthen bonds, while learning and earning CE credits around some key topics,” said VIDA Executive Director, Sonia Taylor-Griffith, DDS.
Against the backdrop of sea and sand, more than 15 members of the VI dental community came out to engage with one another, network with ADA representatives, including Executive Director, Dr. Raymond Cohlmia and President, Dr. George Shepley, and took advantage of the opportunity to fortify their knowledge in the areas of Endodontics and Practice. An elegant evening reception offered attendees the opportunity to network and socialize with colleagues and friends in the stately Brass Parrot private dining room on property, followed by the two-day CE meeting event.
The weekend was capped off with a stunning sunset sail that offered attendees the opportunity to experience all that St. Croix had to offer from the water, with the stunning backdrop of mother nature’s colorful sunlit hues, as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and beverages as the perfect wind down to a productive and value-filled weekend.
Plans are already in motion for next year’s installment, set to take place in June 2024 on the neighboring island of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
